I’ve always wondered what happens after I hit ‘publish’ here on the blog.

Wired’s gone and put together an infographic, so now I know – click to zoom and drag to pan.

IrishBill says:Go back to Cameron’s site.

  2. AncientGeek 2

Zutroy: If you are going to speak, then please speak intelligently… Is a blog some kind of organic parasite? Can a organization host a blog?

Basically your troll doesn’t make sense. It is very much like your statement which has been explained many times to people who have the ability to listen.

This simple biological capacity requires at least 3 parts; ears, a brain, and sufficient intelligence to comprehend – which part are you missing?

BTW: I can’t stand teenage trollers

    captcha: The illiteracy
really wierd and no I’m not kidding

  3. Robinsod 3

    Hmmm speaking of blog postings…

    http://newzblog.wordpress.com/2008/01/28/weve-got-a-business-problem/

    I know, I know I’m a linkwhore, so sue me…

  4. ak 4

Ha ha! Beautiful, ‘sod, you’re on fire! You can linkwhore me to posts like that any day – made my night!

  5. Deleting uncomfortable comments huh!

    Cowards

  6. Robinsod 6

Oh no, Whale called you cowards! Oooohhh. Mind you given Cameron’s intimate knowledge of the subject perhaps he should be taken seriously… Nah, what was I thinking…

  7. The Double Standard 7

Good to see that the censorship cops are on duty tonight!

And I thought that this was the say-anything-we-will-never-censor site?

Sheesh, how the mighty have fallen!

And Mickey – pretty lame attempt at humour. Don’t quit your day job.

  8. Robinsod 8

Hey TDS are you Insolent Prick in disguise again? ‘Cos if you are then you really need help with this whole accepting the fact you’re banned thing. Oh and bro, considering the creepy dull sarcasm you try to pass off as wit I don’t think you’re in a good position to criticise anyone.

  9. So I’ll ask again.

Where on the diagram does it show donations of clustered servers and static ip address blocks from the Labour Party?

Come one answer the question, you haven’t as yet.

  10. Concerned from Tawa 10

Well I was Insolent Prick last time. Oh Well. What is it with the all the censorship on this site.

  11. The Double Standard 11

So Mickey – why was IP banned?

Couldn’t be because Tane can’t accept his political views could it?

Really, banning someone just because you don’t agree with them is such a cop out. It highlights the intellectual bankruptcy of the modern ‘liberal’. How many posts have there been here caning DPF for daring to ban obnoxious pricks like you, and trying to label it as ‘biased’.

As for you blog, well, I suppose you have time to spare since you were banned from KB. I’m not surprised that the standardistas wouldn’t have you though – it would lower the tone a couple of notches too far, and there are some supporters that even Teh Party wants outside the tent.

  12. Robinsod 12

Hey Whale – I don’t know. Probably the same place it shows where your fake referrals are:

    http://www.sitemeter.com/?a=stats&s=s10Whaleoil&r=11

And where your false hits are:

    http://www2.clustrmaps.com/counter/maps.php?url=http://www.whaleoil.co.nz

Now I’d expect you’d probably call me a liar and a defamer normally but you seem pretty quiet about this Whale. Do you gain financially through advertising revenue from this falsified information?

‘Cos bro, if you do that’s called fraud.

  13. Mikey, you are a liar and a defamer and now you accuse me of fraud.

You have got nothing. You are nothing. I’ve got nothing more to say to you.

Meanwhile we still have complete silence about the very hollow stance of the anonymous bloggers here accepting sponsorship from Labour.

  14. Robinsod 14

Jeez Whale, catch you with your hand in the til and you suddenly get all precious. Whattsamadda my little fat fraudster? You got a booboo?

IrishBill says: ‘Sod, you need to stop attacking other commenters or face a ban. We will not host flame wars.

  15. AncientGeek 15

Zutroy was simply ….. Well let me say that the usual WhaleOil contingent look bright by comparison (maybe a 30Watt bulb?).

  16. Richie 16

“So Mickey – why was IP banned?

Couldn’t be because Tane can’t accept his political views could it?”

Insolent Prick was banned because he kept spamming this site with the same post that he’d cut and pasted from earlier. It was bloody annoying and if he behaves like that he deserves to be banned.

It’a much nicer here since the trolls were dispatched. Keep it up guys.

    (Captcha = me vietcong)

  17. AncientGeek 17

Reminds me – WhaleOil – why didn’t you help defend the poor boy who took his site down today (rather than wasting money on bad billboards). Should have been a good test case to determine what is a blog and what isn’t ?

  18. ak 18

Agree totally Richie, and well done for taking a firmer line Irish. When the Standard began it was immediately obvious that there was a huge gap betweent he capabilities of your authors and commentors and the rabid rabble from the bog – it was only a matter of time before they reverted to this incessantly inane and jejune “nya nya ny nya nya” stuff in an effort to sidetrack sensible comment. Like obnoxious waifs their sole purpose is to disrupt and repetetively sling the same monotonous insults for the sole purpose of being able to run home to “dad” and complain about the nasty man telling them to buzz off.
Get harder on these puerile vandals I say – kick their butts back to the bog. Farrar has banned good commenters for nothing more than frustrating his blatant propaganda – in terms they might understand, send these droning flies back to the pig’s arse.

  19. outofbed 19

Yes nothing here is lost by banning the fuckers
Why they feel the need to start posting all their shit every 5 mins is quite beyond me.

I actually think Slater has some sort of psychopathic personality disorder who needs serious intervention from a mental health team.
Look at his site the galleries , the random photoshop mannipulations of anything to do with the Labour Party, read his hate filled postings
He is a sick man If as looks likely, his hated Labour party retains power in 2008 I honestly don’t think he will cope and might actually flip.
So I don’t think invective is the way to deal with him I think gentle encouragement to visit a health practitioner (male) is the way forward

I am guenuinely concerned, noone deserves to live with that much anger inside them

  20. very cool graphic, who would a thunk it was that complicated.
Zutroy’s comment was quite funny. You guys dish it out all over the interweb. Perhaps the ability to allow others to have a gentle probe back would see the amount of abuse you are getting fade gradually.
Over react and you are just feeding the beast.
A good case in point is your treatment of IP. Rather than firing fucks at him and then banning him a better approach may have been to answer the question and then close comments on that thread.

  21. Rich Prick 21

What nice fellows you all are. One has to love the left and this New Zealand Labour Party affiliated website. When you don’t like courteously posed questions, you ban the commentator, lovely.

Don’t vote Labour in Nov 2008.

  22. PDQ 22

Submitted by barnsleybill on Mon, 2008-01-28 21:51.

They are getting an enormous volume of comments, unfortunately most are not following their sponsors script.

I think you’ll find that when you join the gloating over there Bill, that you can’t really get away with playing reasonable here. Take this as advice: it’s not secret if you say it on Whale’s blog

  23. Not gloating PDQ, just calling it the way I see it. I am visiting this site as often as whale’s. In fact I am probably commenting here more frequently than there.

  24. burt 25

IrishBill says: And that’s a week more Burt.

  25. outofbed 26

This week has been interesting for me also I have been in contact with a huge number of Students. I would say that 80% of them say that they will vote Green
Most of whom don’t read poltical blogs. These are not stupid people

Oh, and I don’t give a fuck about the EFA. Who does ?

  26. outofbed 27

Well Monty If you want to debate some serious issues you can probably stay here all you like
But if you want to childishly keep on regurgitating the same old crap and add nothing to the debate, you might be, and frankly It wouldn’t be a loss .

  27. Lisa 28

I can’t understand how a blog works, because my posts seem to vanish and I do hope this one stays here ?
    Kind regards
    xxx

IrishBill says: your posts vanish because you are Dad4Justice and you have been banned for life for threatening another commenter.

[lprent – junk warning – this is probably dad4justice under yet another alias. It is in his usual IP range and with the usual comment type.]

  28. Santi 29

But I’m not d4j and my post on this subject also vanished?

IrishBill, are you a new Torquemada, Cheif Inquisidor?

IrishBIll says: Outright abuse of blog owners or commenters and repeated cut-and-past attack comments will be deleted without warning.

  29. Monty 30

and my post also vanished – and the captcha was done correctly – is censorship part of the left’s way of keeping dissent to a minimum? Reminds me of something …..

IrishBill says: yes, it reminds me of something too: most websites’ policies on spam.

  30. Santi 31

My post posed the question that if it was was mere coincidence than the “Blog Host” box in the diagram was the same colour red as of the Labour Party.

Touchy people at The Standard, uh?

IrishBill says: this is a cut-and-paste comment from a banned commenter. You’re on your last warning.

  31. lprent 32

More likely that IIS had some kind of problem. It was leaking memory more than usual. This lashup will be replaced shortly, and will return to being a backup system.

    Restarted the services.

  32. PM 33

My comment was deleted too! Seems that more comments are censored on this site than are shown. It’s like something out of communist china, although that’s no great surprise, considering the blog is financed by the NZ Communist Party. Oops, I mean the Labour Party…

IrishBill say: if commenters keep posting inane cut-and-past attack lines from Cameron Slater’s blog we’ll keep deleting them. Is that too hard for you to understand?

  33. outofbed 34

Well I guess if you don’t like the Standard
do the following: go up to the little box which currently says
    http://www.thestandard.org.nz
    and retype http://www.kiwiblog.co.nz
There you can comment all you right wing invective you like (well if you don’t do anything to dent the blog owners ego)
    Pretty simple really

  34. Lisa 35

IrishBill; For the record I am NOT dad4justice .
    Kind regards .

[Tane: Dad, I’ve got proof that it’s you. You’ve been banned for life for repeatedly threatening other commenters. Please respect this ban.]

  35. merl 36

    Hrmm,

Perhaps you guys should turn comments off for a week or so.

There doesn’t seem to be much constructive discussion happening here.

  36. Robinsod 37

There’s plenty of constructive comment on other threads. I guess the issue here is the troll infestation and it looks like that’s gonna be kept in hand.

  37. Lisa 38

[Tane: Lisa, you share the same writing style and email address as Dad4Justice. Please don’t take me for a fool.]

  38. Santi 39

“IrishBill said: You’re on your last warning.”

Three hoorays for freedom of speech as understood by the Labour Party and its supporters.!

  39. Tane 40

You have freedom of speech Santi, just not freedom to troll or freedom to constantly abuse others.

I’ve looked through your last 200 comments and there’s not a single constructive contribution there, just disruption and abuse. I think it’s a sign of our tolerance that we haven’t banned you yet.

  40. hinamanu 41

    Good on you Tane.

  41. Michele Cabiling 42

“This week has been interesting for me also I have been in contact with a huge number of Students. I would say that 80% of them say that they will vote Green …”

All I can say is you must know some right tossers, then. Most of the students I know vote for the good guys (National or ACT).

This in spite of the plethora of leftard bilge shoehorned into them by their teachers at high school. Kids who vote Green just do so because of the opportunities their teachers have led them to believe it offers for moral preening.

What they don’t tell the kids is that the Green (aka Watermelon Party — Green on the outside, Red on the inside) is home to some of New Zealand’s most unregenerate authoritarian socialists like Sue Bradford (ex Workers Communist League) and Keith Locke (ex Socialist Action League).

Marxist-Leninists are expert at coming up with propositions that attract the support of respectable people, but actually advance the socialist agenda. Lenin referred to these people as “useful idiots.” Their primary motivation is to belong to “Club Virtue” as covertly defined by Communists.

Sure, “protecting the environment” sound nice and almost anyone can get behind it. But who do the ‘Greens’ tell you is responsible for trashing the environment? “Greedy Big Business and selfish private property owners,” we’re informed.

And what is their solution? Increasing interim state control of business and private property owners(Fascism) leading to eventual state ownership and control of everything (the final outcome sought). And what is that called? “Communism or socialism.”

    Robinsodomite wrote:

“it looks like that’s gonna be kept in hand.”

Must have been a Freudian slip. Spoken like a true master of the practice.

  42. I think it’s a sign of our tolerance that we haven’t banned you yet.

Amen. Most of this thread is just a troll festival, ie the only purpose of the bulk of commenters is to insult the blog owners. There is no “right to troll.” Their pathetic whinging about free speech is an insult to the very concept of free speech. And Lisa so is Dad4Justice!

  43. Billy 44

    “And Lisa so is Dad4Justice!”

It’s funny isn’t it. You got the distinct impression he was trying really hard not to sound like himself, but he just did anyway.

  44. hinamanu 45

hey el stupido d4j – cacofinix, what a sad case you are,,,

  45. RANDAL 46

well all the comments have been about nothing in particular except for the backbiting and puerile to and fro’ing…some need to geta life!

  46. “IrishBill; For the record I am NOT dad4justice .
    Kind regards .”

Note the spaces between the periods? You are dad4justice mate! Oh btw check our site next week!
